Heat Pump Training 1

An Introduction to Heat Pumps; How and Where to Sell Them, How to Design and Specify a System, Carry out the Survey and Whats Involved in the Installation.

Cost is £125 + vat a seat

Start time 9-30am

This course is ideal for developers, builders and installers thinking of starting in heat pumps and also anyone who wants a really detailed introduction to this technology.

In the first part of the course we cover what a heat pump is, where it works best and what to avoid. We discuss working out return on investment as well as giving budget costings. How to size and select heat pumps, cylinders and radiators to MIS 3005 standard, what is involved in a survey and how to prepare a quotation including the run costs and RHI calculations, using our heat pump selection software is a big part of this course. We also advise how to cut through the myths surrounding this technology.

In the second part we cover and discuss how the system goes together and explain what you need to quote and allow for on all systems including hybrid, multiple units and pool heating.

And finally we will show you running systems and the difference between our Hitachi, Samsung and Clausius ranges and advise which suits your project.

Course length is 5 hours and this includes Lunch.

We ask that if you have a current project you bring drawings with you for this course.

Heat Pump Training 2

Installing, Commissioning, Servicing and Fault Finding Hitachi and Samsung heat pumps

Cost is £125 + vat a seat

Start time 9-30am

This course is ideal for new and experienced installers, F-gas engineers and Heating Engineers. Its designed for the people who actually fit and fix the units.

The first part of the course up to lunch time starts with an introduction to the systems and how they need to be installed correctly to get the best out of them. We have a couple of running systems which we will ask you to set up and commission. This is the first stage of becoming an accredited Samsung installer. It is highly recommended that you attend this part if this is your first heat pump job

End time 1-00 pm

After lunch we will start the second part of the course, this part of the course is optional. We will  concentrate on more advanced fault finding and show the most common errors you will find out in the field. You will test compressors, refrigerant circuits, measure unit’s performance, test every sensor and much more.

You will be set a series of practical tests to fix problems on out units which you would typically see on site.

End time 3-30pm
